‘Change your lifestyle, improve your future.’
Hi I’m Sarah creator of BPM Lifestyle.
A bit about me...
After finishing school I went on to study Beauty Therapy at Chichester College. This is where my career as a therapist started. This course gave me an understanding into beauty treatments and the skills to become a competent therapist. After completing an NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy as students we were given an option to go down the Electrolysis route or the Holistic route to therapies.
I felt as a therapist the holistic approach was more suited to me so I decided to continue my studies by doing a Diploma in Holistic Therapies. This course was a great start point for my massage career, massage therapies are something I have true belief in. Through doing various case studies at college and my career as a therapist so far I have had some inspiring and unquestionable experiences I will never forget. To have the true realism that I can help to relieve and ease pain from people from every walk of life is a true gift. I have now been practising as a therapist since 2005 and I am still learning.
Alongside studying Holistic Therapies I became a Reiki practitioner. I first became in tuned to Reiki Level 1 hoping to deepen my skills of healing and to enhance the therapies that I offered. Reiki was a real eye opener for me and I felt a strong sense of connection and understanding towards the principles of this alternative therapy. I have recently been in tuned to Reiki Level 2 which has furthered my knowledge and belief in the healing principles of Reiki.
My path then led me towards a career in fitness. Fitness is a real passion of mine. I love everything about it, the way it’s constantly evolving and how with dedication and focus goals can be achieved. When starting the Personal Trainer Award I had basic knowledge of fitness. I was originally drawn to this course for the nutrition aspect as this was a module we would cover. I then got ‘the bug’ for fitness. The course gave me extensive knowledge into all areas of fitness and personal training.
During this course I also became an exercise to music instructor introducing me to teaching group exercise. I have since qualified as an aqua aerobics instructor and indoor cycle instructor. Further to this I am also now qualified to teach circuits and outdoor training.
In 2013 I qualified as an Advanced Clinical Massage Therapist. This course was something I had always wanted to do and like creating BPM Lifestyle something that has now become reality. I started the course in February 2012 with Jing, Institute of Advanced Massage. The course was over 11 months. The real goal for me was to further my knowledge of advanced massage techniques and meanings and to be able to offer long term results. The course was split into segments and covered the entire human body.
I have been training and competing in triathlon since 2010. Triathlon is a real passion of mine and I feel truly blessed to be able to be a triathlete. I have competed in a range of distances and I completed my first half Ironman on July 8th 2012, it was tough but great! After every race the satisfaction you feel is overwhelming and it makes the months of training all worthwhile. I am also part of Tuff Fitty Triathlon Club which is based in West Sussex.
BPM Lifestyle has always been an aspiration for me and the meaning behind it has always driven me forward as a therapist and trainer. The meaning is simple I want to offer you lifestyle changes that make a difference. BPM lifestyle is centred on your needs and helping you to become a happier and healthier person.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
